What we build

Weei is an embedded collaboration platform. A host application loads a session layer and connects participants, communication and shared tools to the workflow already on the page.

The platform combines a public client API, built-in widgets and custom site widgets. These components let an application compose interactions around a specific task, from shared notes and whiteboards to contextual support and guided onboarding.

Research directions

Browser-based collaboration

We work on session coordination, participant state and shared application tools. The engineering focus is on clear interfaces between the host application, the session and the widgets that use it.

Distributed computation

We explore workflows that coordinate computation across participating browsers, including distributed neural training. These experiments examine task distribution, progress reporting and result validation within a peer session.

Experimental workflows depend on browser capabilities, network conditions and workload design. We document these boundaries alongside the integration approach.

Engineering approach

We start with a defined task and a small, verifiable implementation. Public APIs and connector contracts describe how components interact; application-specific logic defines the workload, data boundaries and acceptance criteria.

We distinguish supported product interfaces from experimental workflows. Documentation covers the available API; solution blueprints describe how its components can be assembled and where additional application logic is required.

Documentation and notes

The journal collects product perspectives, experiments and engineering notes. The documentation covers integration and API contracts. Solutions describes application workflows and their technical building blocks.
